Best Treatments for Submucous Fibroids in Mumbai
Fibroids are noncancerous growths that originate from the uterine muscle. Depending on the location of the fibroids the presentation varies for example a fibroid within the cavity will present with heavy bleeding or intermenstrual bleeding or infertility. This variety of fibroids is easily treated with minimal access surgery by a hysteroscopic fibroid resection.
This procedure involves surgery with minimal access through the cervix. The fibroid is shredded into small pieces and then retrieved through the cervix. This is performed in the operation theatre under general anesthesia. The patient can be discharged within a day and is relatively painless.
Postoperatively the patient will have pinkish or blood-stained discharge. She can plan a pregnancy post-surgery within 2 months. Once treated she has to follow up with an annual ultrasound. Contact Dr. Ranjana Dhanu to get the best treatment for submucous fibroids in Mumbai.
